I’m a qualified counsellor with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and over 20 years of experience working in the NHS as a paramedic and in mental health.
During that time, I sat with people in some of their hardest, most uncertain moments, and I learned that even in deep struggle, there’s still light and hope when we feel truly connected, seen, and understood.
I believe there’s something profoundly healing about being seen, heard, and understood, when that happens, something inside us begins to shift.
Living with a long‑term health condition myself, I understand how isolating it can feel when symptoms are unseen, unpredictable, or misunderstood. It can leave you feeling frustrated, invisible, or doubting yourself. That experience has shaped how I work, with empathy, patience, and a genuine respect for how tough life can sometimes feel.
In our sessions, you don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what you want to say. I’ll meet you where you are, offering a safe space to unpack what’s happening and help you find understanding, steadiness, and a sense of direction again.
I’m passionate about working with neurodivergent clients, including people with ADHD and autism. My awareness is shaped through study and personal experience within my family. Whether you’re diagnosed, on a pathway, or exploring the possibility of being neurodivergent, you’re welcome here. Our work together is grounded in respect, curiosity, and understanding.

I am a person-centred counsellor, which means my focus is on you, your experiences, feelings, and journey. I believe everyone has the capacity for growth and change when met with empathy, acceptance, and authenticity.
My role is not to give advice, but to walk alongside you with warmth and understanding as you explore what feels difficult. Together, we can work towards greater self-awareness, clarity, and a stronger sense of yourself.
Starting counselling can feel like a big step. In our first session, we’ll gently explore what brings you here and what you hope to gain, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Person-centred counselling is a client-focused approach where you are at the heart of the process. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space, offering empathy, understanding, and acceptance. Together, we explore your feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you, helping you gain clarity, self-awareness, and a stronger sense of yourself.
Counselling is for anyone who feels they would benefit from being listened to with warmth and understanding.
That depends on you. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others prefer longer-term work. We’ll review together as we go.
Yes. What you share in counselling is private, with a few exceptions that I’ll explain in our first session.
You can easily book a session by clicking the “Book Now” button, which takes you to my Counselling Directory automatic booking calendar. Alternatively, you can email me or complete the contact form, and I’ll get back to you to arrange a convenient time.
I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and am a registered member of the BACP and HCPC. I also bring over 20 years of experience as a medical professional within the NHS and have personal experience of living with invisible illness, which helps me understand the challenges it can bring. I provide a safe, supportive space where your experiences can be heard, valued, and understood. I also have experience as a counsellor in a school and a young people’s charity, which has given me a deeper understanding of the unique pressures young people face and how these can show up in everyday life.
